Hopkins' nine points is a single-game SAC best this season. Newberry, who was coming off a stunning 2-1 upset over Presbyterian College on Saturday, played the Pioneers tough the first 45 minutes. TC led 2-0 at halftime on goals from senior David Ormesher (Brisbane, Australia) at 12:32 and Hopkins at the 43:53 mark. Hopkins completed his natural hat-trick in the 52nd and 59th minute, one-timing crosses into the net each time. Hopkins now has 28 goals and 69 points which are the second-best single-season totals in SAC history. Ormesher notched a hat-trick of his own thanks to assists from Hopkins and sophomore Matt Rouse (Woodstock, Ontario) in the second half. Freshman Jeremy Partin (Germantown, Ohio) added two goals in the last seven minutes of the match. Tusculum's Tony Swaminathan (Brampton, Ontario) gets the win in goal, facing no shots.
