NEWBERRY, S.C.- The Blue Hose of Presbyterian College advanced to the finals of the 2002 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference (SAC) women’s tennis tournament with a 5-3 win over Wingate.

The Blue Hose, the number two seed in the tournament, will face fourth-seeded Catawba Saturday at noon to determine the conference tournament champion.

Wingate, the number three seed in the tourney, won two of the three doubles matches including a tie-breaker in number two doubles. But the Blue Hose came storming back to take four of the singles matches to win.
