PROSPERITY, SC -- Lenoir-Rhyne College fired a second-round total of 320 to take a 10-stroke lead into the final round of the 2003 South Atlantic Conference Womens Golf Tournament. The third and final round will be played on Thursday morning at the 5,824-yard, par-72 Mid Carolina Golf Course. The Bears trailed Catawba by five shots after the mornings opening round, but led by Carlie Gordons 75, L-R roared back to take the lead after the afternoon round. Wingate moved into second place after two rounds with a second-round 328. Catawba is third and Tusculum stands fourth. Three players are tied for the individual lead after two rounds. Aubrey Mosley, of Newberry, shot a tournament low round 74 in the second round to move into a tie with Wingates Daniela Kessler and Catawbas Paige Haverty. Haverty, a freshman, is the only player to shoot both rounds under 80. South Atl. Conf. Championships
