Nov 5 -- Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Championship: Carson-Newman Wins Title, 1-0 Over Catawba
The sixth-ranked Carson-Newman College Eagles men’s soccer team captured the Food Lion South Atlantic Conference tournament championship with a 1-0 win over number 23 Catawba College Saturday afternoon at the Wingate University soccer facility.

Oct 31 -- 2005 South Atlantic Conference Men’s Soccer All-Conference Teams and Award Recipients Announced
Daniel WaymontDave BaileyTyler BaldockROCK HILL, SC – Tyler Baldock was named the 2005 South Atlantic Conference men’s soccer Player of the Year for the second year in a row, and was one of six Eagles named to the All-Conference team. Tusculum’s Dave Bailey was named Freshman of the Year and Carson-Newman coach Allen Vital was named Coach of the Year for the third year in a row. The Scholar Athlete Award for men’s soccer went to Daniel Waymont of Mars Hill College, who has a 3.97 GPA as a physical education major.

Tusculum’s Gareth Williams scored with five seconds left in regulation to cap off an amazing comeback and lift the third-seeded Pioneers to a 4-3 victory over the top-seed Carson-Newman Eagles and win the 2004 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Men’s Soccer Tournament championship.
