Men's Soccer Championship: Carson-Newman Wins Title, 1-0 Over Catawba
The sixth-ranked Carson-Newman College Eagles mens soccer team
captured the Food Lion South Atlantic Conference tournament
championship with a 1-0 win over number 23 Catawba College Saturday
afternoon at the Wingate University soccer facility.

Soccer All-Conference Teams and Award Recipients Announced

HILL, SC Tyler Baldock was named the 2005 South Atlantic
Conference mens soccer Player of the Year for the second year in
a row, and was one of six Eagles named to the All-Conference team.
Tusculums Dave Bailey was named Freshman of the Year and
Carson-Newman coach Allen Vital was named Coach of the Year for the
third year in a row. The Scholar Athlete Award for mens soccer
went to Daniel Waymont of Mars Hill College, who has a 3.97 GPA as a
physical education major.
