McFarland Tied for Third After First Round of NCAA Women's Golf Tournament

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. --- Tusculum College senior Rachel McFarland (Jonesborough, Tenn.) shot an opening-round 77 and is currently in a tie for third place after the first round of the NCAA Division II Women's Golf National Championship.

Kim Keyer-Scott of Northern Kentucky University leads the field with a one over-par 74. McFarland is tied with Sarah Coleson of Florida Southern College and Meredith Easley of West Texas A&M University.

Day two of the four-round tournament starts Thursday.
