McFarland Rebounds to Finish 16th at Women's

Courtesy Tusculum College Sports Information Offices HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. --- Tusculum College senior Rachel McFarland (Jonesborough, Tenn.) shot a 77 to finish 16th in the final round of the NCAA Division II Womens Golf National Tournament. McFarland shot a 77 in both the first and final rounds. Charlotte Campbell of Rollins College shot a two-under 71 to claim the individual title by four strokes over Pamela Feggans of Florida Southern College. Rollins also won the team title over Florida Southern. McFarland closes out her career as the greatest womens golfer in Tusculum history. Her scoring average this season of 81.45 is the lowest in school history, and holds the career scoring record at TC as well. She won medalist honors at the SAC Championships in April after carding a school and conference record 69 in the final round and earned All-Region honors at the South Region Tournament on May 10.
