PACE, FLA. - Catawba College’s Paige Haverty (Greenville, NC) finished three strokes away from a trip to the NCAA Division II women's golf national championship, finishing eighth overall at the NCAA South Regional at the Stonebrook Golf Club.

Haverty, the two-time SAC women's golf Player of the Year and the medalist at the 2004 Food Lion SAC Tournament, shot 83-74-79-236.She finished three strokes behind West Florida's Sarah Nicholson, who took one of two individual berths to the NCAA Division II national championship tournament.

Kristen Kyle (Greer, SC) finished in a tie for 17th overall after she shot 82-83-80-245. Kyle, a three-time All-SAC pick and two-time first team selection, was runner-up to Haverty at the SAC Championships.
