Catawba Selected for NCAA II Baseball Regionals |

The Catawba College baseball team has been selected to participate in the 2004 NCAA II South Region Tournament. The Indians, with a 41-15 record, will be making their first appearance in NCAA II post-season play. Catawba, seeded-fourth and champions of the South Atlantic Conference will open play on Thursday night against top-seeded and host Rollins in Winter Park, FL. The Tars sport a 42-9 record and are the Sunshine Conference Champions. The other two teams to comprise the four-team, double-elimination tournament are Tampa (40-14), the #2-seed, and Florida Southern (31-19-1), the third seed. The tournament runs from Thursday through Saturday. Tickets are $8 per game for adults and $6 per game for students and senior citizens. NCAA II South Region Tournament |
