Don B. Safrit, Coordinator of Football Officials for the South Atlantic Conference, receives a plaque from Commissioner Doug Echols congratulating Safrit on 50 years of service to football officiating. Safrit has served as Coordinator of Football Officials for the South Atlantic Conference for 12 years.

The 2004 version of the South Atlantic Conference Football Media Day was held Friday, July 23, at the Holiday Inn in Salisbury, NC. Based on the coaches comments, fans of the teams will be in for some exciting football this fall.

In addition to the football coaches, a special award was presented to Don Safrit, SAC Coordinator of Football Officials, in recognition of his 50 years of service in the area of football officiating.
