Jones Named Men's & Women's Golf Coach at Mars Hill

Mars Hill, NC – Kyle Jones has been named as the head men's and women's golf coach at Mars Hill College, announced MHC athletic director David Riggins.

Jones brings a wealth of golf knowledge and experience with him to the program. He has experience from working as a golf professional and as program director at camps.

Jones was the assistant golf professional at Meadowbrook Country Club in Tulsa, OK, from 2002-2003. Prior to that Jones was the assistant golf professional at Clary Fields Golf Club in Sapulpa, OK. He was involved in all aspects of the golf program at Clary Fields.

His camp experience includes being the golf program director at Camp Greystone in Tuxedo, NC, during the summers of 2001 and 2003. His duties included implementing golf programs for camper development and introducing innovative methods to train the camp's staff members. Jones also worked at the YMCA Camp Takatoka in Wagoner, OK from 1998-2001.

Jones graduated from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK, in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in History and a minor in Business. He was a four-year letter winner on Oral Roberts varsity golf team and represented his squad on the NCAA Student Athlete Advisory Board all four years he attended the university.
