Catawba's Haverty Qualifies for US Women's Am
Wagamon finishes second in Delaware women's tourney

Catawba College women's golfers Paige Haverty (Greenville, NC) and Christina Wagamon (Rehoboth Beach, DE) have earned amateur honors this season. Haverty has qualified for the U.S. Women's Amateur, while Wagamon placed second in the Delaware Women's Amatuer.

Haverty shot a two-over-par 74 to at the Sapona Country Club in Lexington, NC, to advance the U.S. Women's Amateur. The event will be held from August 1-7 at the Ansley Golf Club in Atlanta, GA. Haverty had help from Catawba soccer player Seth Clark, who served as her caddy at the qualifier.

Wagamon shot rounds of 84-79-84 to finish on 247 at the Delaware Women's Amateur. She was runner-up to Megan Adams.
