SAC Golfers to Compete in NCAA Regional Championship Tournaments

The South Atlantic Conference will be represented at the upcoming NCAA regional golf championships as league teams and individuals are included in the fields.

The men's teams from Lenoir-Rhyne and Newberry will be in the field at the Atlantic/Southeast Super Region. In addition, Dane Fairfield (Carson-Newman), Richard Lowe (Catawba), Nick Kinzer (Tusculum), Chris Wynne (Tusculum), Ben Karns (Presbyterian) will play as individuals.

On the women's side, Paige Haverty (Catawba) will be an individual competitor.

The men will play at Rocky River Golf Club in Concord, NC, while Haverty will tour the Stonebrook Golf Club in Pace, FL, near Pensacola.

The top men's team from each region within the super regional and the top individual not with a team advancing from each super regional (regardless of region) will advance to the finals held May 16-19 at The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, WV. For the women, the top two teams along with the top two individuals not with a team advancing from the regional will advance to the finals held May 10-13 a The Meadows in Allendale, MI.
