Catawba's Haverty Closes Out Women's Golf Collegiate Career With 11th-Place Finish at NCAA South Regional

PACE, FL -- Catawba senior Paige Haverty (Greenville, NC) fired an even-par round of 72 in her final collegiate round at the NCAA II South Regional Women’s Golf Tournament which concluded on Tuesday. The event was held at the 5,984-yard, par-72 Stonebrook Golf Club. Haverty would finish 11th as she competed as an individual in the tournament.

The four-time South Atlantic Conference Player of the Year opened with an 81 after taking a nine on the par-4 sixth hole. She rebounded to fire a round of 77 on Monday afternoon and then shot her 72 on Tuesday to climb to 11th by tournament’s end.

Haverty finished the year with a school record-low 75.38 stroke average over 24 rounds and also has the career best stroke average of 77.91 over four years and 98 rounds.

She won five tournaments as a senior and 13 in her career. She also qualified for NCAA II Regional play in each of her four years at Catawba.
