Carson-Newman Games in Softball Regional To Be Webcast

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Fans of the Carson-Newman Lady Eagles softball team will be able to listen to the games in the regional tournament live on the College’s website, athletic department officials announced on Wednesday.

The Lady Eagles qualified for the NCAA Division II national tournament as an at-large selection. C-N, 40-13 on the season, is the number six seed in the eight-team event. The South Atlantic Region is being held at Olympic Park in Columbus, Ga.

Fans can hear the live web-cast of the Lady Eagles game against Wingate on Thursday, May 11 at 11 a.m. Click on the Webcast link above and follow the links (on the Game Day Central icon, then the “Listen Live” icon). Zeke Beam, the voice of the Eagles, will provide the play-by-play.

If the Lady Eagles defeat Wingate in the first round on Thursday, they will face the winner of the Georgia College-Armstrong Atlantic game on Friday, May 12 at 4:30 p.m. If the Lady Eagles lose to Wingate, they would play the loser of the GC-AASU game at 11 a.m. on Friday.
