Catawba to Play in NCAA South Region Baseball

Courtesy Catawba College Sports Information Office Catawba College will head to Tampa, FL, this weekend for the 2006 NCAA II South Region Baseball Tournament. The Indians drew the #3 seed and will face Florida Southern on Thursday night at 7 p.m. The Tribe took two of three the Moccasins to open the season. Top-seeded and host Tampa will open play on Thursday against SIAC champ Albany State at 11 a.m. Florida Gulf Coast, the #2-seed, will face fifth-seeded Lynn at 3 p.m. with Catawba and Florida Southern capping the day one action at 7 p.m. On Friday, Catawbas game time and opponent will be determined by the action on Thursday. If the Indians win their opener they will play the winner of the FGC/Lynn game at 7 p.m. If Catawba were to lose its opening game it would face the winner of the Tampa/Albany State game at 3 p.m. |
