A 2004 first team All-SAC performer, Szvetitz tallied his eighth goal of the season at the 81:22 mark. The scoring play involved all three of Wingate’s first team All-SAC standouts. Freshman midfielder James Lavery (Belfast, Northern Ireland) sent a pass downfield to forward Benj Bostic (Wingate, N.C.), who found Szvetitz open on the left side.

Wingate bombarded Newberry sophomore goalkeeper Bryan Linn throughout the contest. The Bulldogs outshot the Indians 18-5, including 10-3 in the first half. Linn was up to the task, recording eight saves.

Bulldog redshirt freshman goalkeeper Brian Noell (Hickory, N.C.) notched his first career shutout for the hosts. Noell had three saves.
