The 2005 South Atlantic Conference soccer tournaments will be held beginning Nov. 1-5. Both tourneys start Nov. 1 at school sites, with the semifinals to be on Nov. 4 and the final Nov. 5. The men will be in action at Wingate University, while the women will play at Newberry College.

Winners of the men's and women's championship games gain an automatic berth into the NCAA Division II Tournaments.

  The sixth-ranked Carson-Newman College Eagles men’s soccer team captured the Food Lion South Atlantic Conference tournament championship with a 1-0 win over number 23 Catawba College Saturday afternoon at the Wingate University soccer facility.
